I have created this file long back and still am using it. Primary focus was to provide general user/technical users a standard laptop/desktop so that IT could manage these devices centrally rather having to cater to personal choices and end up managing hundreds of different models, if you think large. It would be disastrous to IT since IT will need to have patch management not only of different devices but also different OS.
